Aims of the Fund
The 1834 Fund is committed to supporting the following areas:
- undergraduate students seeking to take a year away from their medical studies to focus on a specific research area through 'intercalated' study
- talented early career scientists who are looking to progress to a prestigious 4 year integrated MRes/PhD in one of our leading medical research teams
- undergraduate students from disadvantaged backgrounds who need additional financial support throughout their MB BS course
As the University enjoys exempt charitable status, all gifts to the 1834 Fund from individual UK taxpayers will be eligible for Gift Aid meaning you can enhance your donation by 25%.
