Celebrating 90 years young

Lord Walton is a legendary figure here in Newcastle.  Former dean of medicine and professor of Neurology, he has contributed to the development of the pioneering Newcastle curriculum and is a long time friend of the University, the Medical School and the medical profession.

As he reaches his 90th year in September of this year, he is still an active cross bencher in the House of Lords balancing international travel with trips to London and rounds of golf in Northumberland.

We are pleased to announce a series of celebrations as part of our Lord Walton Day here at the Medical School and hope you will join us to celebrate his exceptional legacy on 10th September 2012:
