Overnight Guest Policy

Residents are permitted to have one occasional overnight guest in their accommodation for a maximum of three consecutive nights in any one week, however, please note that the total number of overnight guests permitted in Halls at anytime is strictly limited to “30” for safety reasons and to maintain the quality of the environment in Hall.   We do have a number of flats available for guest accommodation.  Enquiries on availability and cost should be made to the conference-team@ncl.ac.uk.

Responsibilities and conditions of guest overnight stay:-

The resident host is required to:

1.  Ensure their guest arrives no later than 23:00 hrs on the night of their stay.  (Please inform reception if your guest will arrive later than 23:00 hrs)

2.  Notify Reception of their guest arrival (Reception retain a list of expected overnight guest arrivals via the on-line booking system)

3.  Ensure their guest signs-in in the visitors book at the Reception Desk, countersigning the entry and in doing so accepts full responsibility for their guests conduct and actions whilst they are on the premises

4.  Make their guest aware of the fire regulations and action to be taken in an emergency

Please Note: Overnight guests are not permitted during exam periods and the Landlord and its employees reserve the right to exclude any visitor from the Accommodation and to ask any person including legitimate guests to leave the premises if they are found to be causing a nuisance or where there are reasonable grounds to believe that their exclusion is necessary for the safety or wellbeing of other Tenants, their visitors or our employees.

As a resident you are not permitted to issue your accommodation keys, smartcard or seek to sign-out a spare key to another person, nor allow another person to make use of your accommodation in your absence.
