Payment of Rent in Managed Partnership Accommodation
The available payments options for Managed Partnership Accommodation differ to those which the University offer on their own accommodation. Please ensure you are aware of the payment options for these sites, should you be considering them as any of your accommodation preferences
Liberty Plaza - Central Link
European or International students: As it is unlikely you will be able to provide a UK Guarantor, payment for your accommodation will be due in full at the start of the tenancy (a 2% discount is offered when paying in full). Payment can be made via a credit/debit card, however a 2% fee is charged for credit card payments. When accepting your room offer using the Liberty Living online system, you will be prompted to provide card details for payment of a £200 deposit to be taken immediately and to authorise a future dated payment for your rent at the start of the contract (exact date will be confirmed when accepting your offer).
UK Students: You will be asked to provide details of a UK resident person (typically your parent or guardian) who is prepared to act as your guarantor when accepting your room offer using the Liberty Living online system. The guarantor is to protect Liberty Living in the unlikely event of non-payment of rent/tenant liability or any damage caused. Your guarantor will be e-mailed a document to sign and return to Liberty Living, so please ensure you have the permission of your guarantor prior to giving their details.
Payment can be made in full (a 2% discount is offered when paying in full) or in three instalments via credit/debit card, however a 2% fee is charged for credit card payments whether you pay in full or by instalments. Magnet Court
European or International Students: As it is unlikely you will be able to provide a UK Guarantor, this means the accommodation charges can be paid either in full or by instalments.
Payment can be made in full at the time of accepting the offer via credit/debit card, however a 2% fee is charged for credit card payments.
Alternatively, you can choose to make payment in three termly instalments. The first payment is due early September with the remaining amounts due in January 2014 and April 2014 (exact dates will be confirmed when you receive your offer). If you make payments by credit/debit card, you will need to provide card details – the first payment will be debited to your account in September, but the remaining payments will not be processed until the due date. A 2% fee is charged for credit card payments. Payment can also be made by Direct Debit from a UK bank account and you should complete and return the mandate with your offer of accommodation. Please refer to your offer of accommodation details for further information on payment amounts. You must ensure that payment is sent within the required timescale along with all other documents.
If the required payment information is not made at the time of accepting your offer of accommodation, your booking will be cancelled.

You must ensure that payment is sent within the required timescale along-with all other documents.
UK Students: You must provide details of a UK Guarantor. This is to protect Victoria Hall in the unlikely event of non-payment of rent/tenant liability or any damage caused. A guarantor form will be sent to you along with details of your offer and this should be returned with the relevant details completed and witnessed.
Payment can be made in full at the time of accepting the offer via cheque or credit/debit card. A 3% discount on the total rent is offered if you choose to pay by this method.
