Having problems connecting to the internet in your University bedroom?

If you have followed the documentation provided by the University's computing service (ISS) and still cannot establish an internet connection then please book an appointment with a Network Tester. The Network tester will visit your accommodation and ensure the Network Point is working correctly, offering further advice if indeed the issue is your computers configuration. It is ultimately your responsibility to connect your computer, given a correctly working network point.

A Network Tester will:

  • Test your network point to see if it is working.

A Network Tester will not:

  • Configure your computer
  • Install software or hardware on your computer
  • Provide any equipment for your use (eg cables, network cards)

Any student who is unable to find a suitable time for a network appointment due to university commitments can e-mail directly to arrange a suitable appointment.
