Castle Leazes offers a choice of guest accommodation based on the duration of your stay, in either single bedrooms, self-contained flats or bungalows.

A bungalow is perfect if you're looking for your own living space and even includes an outdoor terrace. Located in the grounds of Castle Leazes, each bungalow provides two bedrooms, a lounge / dining area, kitchen and bathroom.
The bungalows are suitable for single staff and couples and you can stay with us between six and 12 months. Internet connection is not available in the bungalows.
Each bungalow has one single bedroom with a single bed and one double bedroom with a double bed. Each bedroom has a chest of drawers, bedside cabinet and a fitted wardrobe.
Bedding and towels are provided, but not laundered.
There's a lounge with a sofa, dining table and four chairs and a coffee table.
Your kitchen has a cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and washing machine.
We'll provide the crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils. There is no cleaning service for our bungalows, but a vacuum, dustpan and brush, mop and bucket are supplied for you.
A self-contained flat includes a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and study room. Flats are located on the ground floor within student accommodation blocks. Internet connection is available for residents with a University network login.
The flats are suitable for single staff and couples and you can stay with us between 31 days and 12 months.
The bedroom is equipped with a double bed, chest of drawers, bedside cabinet, wardrobe and desk lamp. Bedding and towels are provided, but not laundered, but there is an on-site laundry you can use at an additional cost.
The study-room has a desk, desk chair and desk lamp, two seater sofa and a coffee table.
Your kitchen has a cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster.
We'll provide the crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils. There is no cleaning service for our flats, but a vacuum, dustpan and brush, mop and bucket are supplied for you.

We have four single bedrooms available for staff members, students or guests and you can stay with us between one and 28 nights. Rooms are located on the ground floor with other visitor accommodation and students reside on the upper floors of this block.
Bedding and towels are provided, but not laundered, but there is an on-site laundry you can use at an additional cost.
Each bedroom has a single bed, a chest of drawers, bedside cabinet, and a wardrobe.
Kitchen and bathroom facilities are shared with the other guests. One shower and one toilet are shared by four rooms. The kitchen, shower and toilet are cleaned once a week and checked daily on weekdays.
Internet connection is available for residents with a University network login or via a Wi-Fi voucher available from reception.
The shared kitchen has a cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. We'll provide the crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils.
You'll have access to a vacuum cleaner, ironing boards, dust pan and brush and mop and bucket.
Castle Leazes is a catered residence providing breakfast and evening meals during term time, so you are welcome to purchase meals in the cafeteria.

Castle Leazes accommodation is in the grounds of our Castle Leazes student accommodation site, housing 1200 undergraduates.
Castle Leazes stands on a seven acre site overlooking Leazes Moor and Leazes Park. It's a 15 minute walk from the City Centre and 10 minutes from the Campus. The Medical and Dental Schools are only five minutes away.
Our accommodation is situated amongst the student accommodation or within the grounds of the site.

From Newcastle Coach Station the following services operate to Barrack Road Industrial Estate: 71, 72, 87, 88.
Cross over the road, walk through industrial estate along Holland Drive to Castle Leazes main entrance (two minutes’ walk).
A taxi from the Coach Station to Castle Leazes takes approximately seven minutes.
For bus times and fares refer to Nexus Travel Line at www.nexus.org.uk or call 0871 200 2233. Calls to this number will cost 10 pence a minute from a landline and considerably more from a mobile.
From Newcastle Central Station, take bus (numbers 71, 72, 87, 88) from Grainger Street, to Fenham Barracks.
Cross road and walk down Holland Drive to Main Entrance – two minutes’ walk.
Alternatively, take the Metro from Central Station to Haymarket, then walk up St Thomas’ Street, up Richardson Road and across the Moor to Castle Leazes – 15 minutes’ walk.
Alternatively, a taxi from the Central Station to Castle Leazes takes approximately seven minutes.
Newcastle International Airport is about seven miles northwest of Newcastle University.
A taxi from the Airport will take about 15 minutes, costing approximately £15.
You can also travel by Metro (rapid transport system) to either the Haymarket (25 minutes) or the Central Station (30 minutes).

Late and weekend arrivals
If you expect to arrive after 18.00 or over the weekend, you'll need to contact the Estate Security Service. Give them a call on 0191 208 6817.
They'll arrange to meet you at reception and will give you your key. You'll be asked to show a copy of your booking information.
