If you have been invited to attend a post-application Open Day, you will have the opportunity to find out more about undergraduate University accommodation.
There are many factors to consider when choosing accommodation during your first year at university. We offer a variety of types of accommodation, reflecting differences in facilities and price.
During February and March, when a large number of prospective students visit the University we run talks, delivered by staff from Accommodation Services. Accommodation talks give you a comprehensive overview of the different types of accommodation that we offer, tips on things to consider when choosing accommodation, and information about the accommodation application process. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions.
If you don’t have the time to attend a tour as part of your Open Day, you can take a virtual tour of kitchens, lounges and typical study bedrooms at all of our accommodation sites.
Tours are led by current students, and give you the opportunity to find out what it's like to live in one of our sites situated closest to campus (most are within a 10 minute walk).
You will be walked to the site by a current undergraduate student. A resident will then show you their room and the facilities for that site. Tours last approximately one hour. If you intend to take a tour before your open day is due to start, please ensure that you allow enough time to do this.
Our accommodation sites are open during our visit days or you can take a virtual tour. You can also watch our accommodation video on our video wall.
If you have any questions about accommodation talks or tours please contact the Accommodation Tour team on 0191 222 5895 or e-mail accommodation.tours@ncl.ac.uk.
