How to Apply

Applications for 2012-13 - are now being accepted. Having read the information below, you may submit an online Accommodation Application on receipt of a conditional or unconditional offer of a place of study at Newcastle University.

Applications for 2011-12 – applications for students due to arrive for the remainder of this academic year can still apply, you will need to select the relevant year from the drop-down menu on the ‘My Details’ page. Please also refer to the information below before beginning the online process.

You should also have read through the Accommodation Brochure and/or website to ensure you are applying for the most suitable accommodation for you. You may also wish to consider some important factors before making your final choices.

To begin the application process you will need your applicant number.

• Undergraduates: this is your 10 digit UCAS Application number, beginning with a 1 and omitting the hyphens. If you are a non-UCAS student this will be your nine digit reference number which begins with either a 0 or a 1.  
• Postgraduates: this is the first nine digits of your reference number beginning with a 0 or a 1.

You should only need to create a login once. You will sign on using this information in future.

Private Accommodation or NU Studenthomes

UK postgraduate students, whilst not covered by the new students guarantee, can apply for accommodation through NUstudenthomes Property Management Service.
