The details given are for both undergraduate and international fee-paying postgraduate students following these study paths. You are guaranteed accommodation provided you:
- will be taking part in a recognised exchange scheme at Newcastle for the full academic year, and
- have firmly accepted our offer of a place at Newcastle, and met all conditions of the offer, and
- have completed the online Accommodation Application by 30 June of your year of entry .
If you are only here for part of the academic year (a part-year applicant), you should still apply for accommodation. We anticipate we will be able to make you an offer of accommodation, but will not be able to process your application until early September. If we can offer you accommodation, it is likely to be a twin room, shared with a student of the same gender. Second semester applicants are more likely to be offered a room than first semester applicants.
If there are no rooms available, we can offer advice and assistance on finding private-rented accommodation elsewhere in the city. We strongly encourage you to view this type of accommodation before committing to a property.
