Student Profile“Currently I live in an eight-bedroom house in Sandyford. Its location is ideal as it is five minutes from the Library and a short walk into town. I prefer to be further away from the massively populated student area (Jesmond) as it's nice to feel more outside the university bubble.”

A large proportion of the University's student population live in the private sector. The majority are second and third year undergraduate students. 

Mature students, postgraduates, or students with families also opt to move straight into private sector accommodation. It is also an option for new undergraduates. Please speak to the Accommodation Service for help and advice with this.
