Albion House offers self-catered accommodation for postgraduates and undergraduates.
Each apartment has a contemporary open plan kitchen/living space with a flat screen TV, leather sofas and a washer/dryer.
There is no on-site parking at Albion House for residents. Pay and Display car parks are close by.
There is building work taking place next to Albion House. We are currently working with Newcastle City Council and relevant property developers to try to minimise this impact.
It has 48 en-suite six bedroom apartments, seven standard studios and one small studio.

St James Metro station is a short walk away.
There are Metro trains every 10 minutes to and from this station.
Albion House is within five minutes’ walk of the city centre where there are buses, Metros and trains to all locations.
For bus times and fares refer to Nexus Travel Line or contact them by telephone on 0871 200 2233.
Calls to this number will cost 10 pence a minute from a landline and considerably more from a mobile.
From Newcastle Central Station you can take the Metro to St James Station.
Taxis are also available from the Central Station.
Newcastle International Airport is about seven miles northwest of Newcastle University.
A taxi from the airport will take about 15 minutes, costing approximately £15.
You can also travel by Metro (rapid transport system) to St James Station which will take approximately 20–25 minutes.

Albion House is privately owned but is managed by NUstudenthomes - the property management team within the University accommodation service.
The contract runs from 15 September 2017 to 7 September 2018.
Your costs include a hot water and heating allowance of £6.47 per person per week (£330.00 per year). You will be liable for any charge above this allowance figure.
WiFi includes standard broadband of 20mb/s. Upgrades are available.
The damages deposit for Albion House is £200.

Arrival Instructions 2017
You are responsible for the collection of your own set of keys which will be available from 12 noon on the first date of your contract period. You will be provided with one key which will operate the main door to the flat and your own bedroom door.
To allow us to organise the key collection process efficiently please contact our Admin Team to confirm the date and approximate time of arrival.
Where possible we would strongly encourage you to collect your keys during the below office opening hours so that we can deal with your queries.

Outside of the above times and on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September keys can be collected from Estates Security by prior arrangement only with our Admin Team. Please note we need a minimum of 24 hours notice (longer for weekend arrivals since our normal office hours are Monday to Friday).
