Easton Flats are a popular and affordable accommodation for our postgraduates. A 14 minute walk from campus and the city centre, the site is close to a metro station which will take you into the city in minutes.

Easton Flats is self-catered accommodation with a friendly atmosphere, and if you choose to live in one of our larger flats you'll find plenty of opportunities to socialise. Each flat has shared bathrooms and communal lounge/kitchens where you can catch up with friends at the end of your day or just watch your favourite shows.
Access and safety
Accommodation is spread over four floors with no lift. We take the safety of our students very seriously and Estates Security Officers patrol our accommodation to ensure your peace of mind.
A Residences Manager is responsible for Residential Services as well as welfare and discipline and a Customer Services Manager is responsible for Reception Services.

Jesmond and Haymarket Metro stations are both a reasonable walk away.
There are Metro trains every five minutes during the day.
The city centre is within five minutes’ walk.

Calls to this number will cost 10 pence a minute from a landline and considerably more from a mobile.
From Newcastle Central Station you can take the Metro directly to Haymarket station (two stops).
Taxis are also available from the Central Station.
Newcastle International Airport is about seven miles northwest of Newcastle University.
A taxi from the Airport will take about 15 minutes, costing approximately £15.
You can also travel by Metro (rapid transport system) to either the Haymarket (25 minutes) and follow directions as above.

Easton Flats is University-managed accommodation.
The contract is a fixed term period of either 38 weeks (25 September 2016 to 18 June 2017) or 50 weeks (20 September 2016 to 4 September 2017) and covers the duration of the academic year. Rents are charged per day, so if your contract differs to the standard dates above (ie earlier arrival), you will incur additional accommodation charges at the relevant daily rate.
All utility bills are included, WiFi is free and we also provide Personal Possessions Insurance.
