Students on a field tripThe University and School is proud of the support and facilities we offer to our staff and students.

Our laboratories provide important teaching and research environments. The Nu-Food, Food & Consumer Research Facility is now completed and includes multi-function rooms, a culinary training suite, state-of-the-art sensory laboratory and food handling facility.

We have access to Cockle Park Farm - a mixed farm facility, and also Nafferton Farm - comprising of two main farm units run in the Tyne Valley. The farm provides a land-based research facility for the Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering, especially in the area of Organic production, demonstration facilities for teaching purposes as well as being a viable farming business.

Other off-campus facilities include research at Palace Leas Plots and the new Anaerobic Digestion Plant, which are both based at Cockle Park Farm.

In addition, the University has a range of excellent facilities available for postgraduate and undergraduate students. We also offer language support to all our students.
