Newcastle University

The Centre for Rural Economy in Newcastle University’s School of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development welcomed Carsten Hansen, Denmark’s Minister for Rural Affairs this week.  Mr Hansen visited CRE accompanied by his Permanent Secretary and other senior civil servants, to discuss their research and to learn about UK initiatives to promote rural development.  He hopes that ideas from the UK will inspire rural policy in Denmark in the future.
