The aim of this group is to understand the processes mediated by the soil ecosystem. These process are fundamental to environmental sustainability and to addressing the environmental impact of climate change. Soil-water and soil-nutrient interactions are investigated with particular reference to irrigation, and modelling of nutrient cycles.
