Molecular Agriculture
Our aim is to use basic and strategic research to develop sustainable production (plant and animal) systems for food and non-food products . The research is driven by a close integration between modelling and laboratory approaches and links extensively with the Nafferton Ecological Farming Group.
The School has recognised the importance of this developing area in the area of plant stress response exploring the relationship between environmental stress (especially cold and drought) and plant defense mechanisms.
