The aim of this research group is to identify factors that govern the relationship between plant growth and defense at the cellular level. The current focus is on plant redox biology and carbon/nitrogen interactions which change when plants are exposed to environmental stress, particularly cold and drought. The purpose of the research is to reveal new routes to develop crops that perform well and more predictably in extreme environmental conditions.
