Current research interests

My research team (4 PG Students and RA) and I are currently interested in the following: 

  • Designing & implementing clinical nutrition intervention studies related to cardiovascular diseases.

  • Exploring sensory evaluation and auditory perceptions

  • Understanding the relationship between food choices and socio-cognitive sciences

  • Examining nutrient-gene interactions in relation to cardiovascular diseases

  • Evaluating the effectiveness of public health nutrition policies and programmes.

Current projects:

  • Singapore Heart Foundation funded- Creating a Healthy Singapore Cuisine to prevent and reduce disabilities and death from cardiovascular disease  

  • EU Seventh Framework funded: FOODINTEGRITY ‘Ensuring the Integrity of the European Food Supply Chain’ Work Package 7
