Careers ServiceThe wide range of skills that you learn from our degree programmes opens a large range of career options. All degrees offer the most up to date knowledge and students can go on to their chosen career knowing they have had excellent knowledge and experience. You will graduate from a degree in a school that has an excellent reputation and is highly thought of by prospective employers which improves your career prospects. All degree programmes in the school provide you with additional skills to increase employability and help you to write an outstanding CV.

The University has a large team of careers advisers who students can drop in to talk to on any weekday. The School of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development has its own Careers Advisor called Ailsa McLeod and students are encouraged to contact her with any career queries.

The Careers Service is one of the largest and best resourced careers services in the UK and the winner of eight prestigious National Careers Awards. The Careers Service offers support in all things career-related to Newcastle University prospective and current students, as well as graduates, for up to 3 years after leaving the University. Newcastle University graduates seeking to develop a business idea may also access our business start-up resources for an indefinite period following graduation.
