Our campus

Working closely with Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the driving force behind a vision for a unique Campus for Ageing and Vitality has been Newcastle University's ageing research.

The Campus of Ageing and Vitality brings together University, health care, volunteer sector , business activities and the public, to work together to generate innovation in products and services for the support of healthy ageing and independence through-life.

Campus for Ageing & Vitality

The Campus for Ageing and Vitality (formerly Newcastle General Hospital) contains the Wolfson Research Centre and the Institute for Ageing project offices.

It also houses the following Ageing Research Laboratories:

  • Henry Wellcome Laboratory for Biogerontology
  • Edwardson Building
  • Newcastle Magnetic Resonance Centre
  • Clinical Ageing Research Unit
  • Biomedical Research Centre Building
