EIT Health is one of the EIT's Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs). Their goal is to improve healthcare and promote lifelong health and active ageing for people across Europe.
To do this, they use expertise of more than 140 leading organisations across Europe. These include pharmaceuticals, medical technology, insurance and mainstream consumer businesses, as well as cities, research and innovation institutions and Universities.
With a budget of 2 billion Euro over the next ten years, they will invest in entrepreneurial talents across Europe to develop and commercialise smart products and services for the health sector.

- EIT issue annual calls for innovation and innovative education projects
- They run an accelerator programme which work with innovators and entrepreneurs and provides their start-up project with the commercial support they need to get it into their target market
