The National Innovation Centre for Ageing will launch the innovation platform, designed to solve real challenges in ageing, in July.
In July, the National Innovation Centre for Ageing will launch its innovation platform – a digital space for businesses and organisations to share real challenges and opportunities to a community of academic solvers.
The platform will be open to all academic colleagues at Newcastle University who have an interest or expertise in ageing. Joining the digital platform will be an opportunity for your research to be incorporated into emerging models of business strategy, new products and services, as well as a fantastic opportunity to raise the profile of ageing research overall at Newcastle University.
In the longer term, the platform’s solver community will expand outside of Newcastle University to include academics all around the country, the public and smaller businesses.
The National Innovation Centre for Ageing is an initiative jointly funded by the UK Government and Newcastle University. The purpose of the £40million investment in Newcastle, is to significantly increase the commercialisation of innovations which address the global phenomena of demographic ageing. The Centre will be an engine for economic growth and social benefit, situated in Newcastle’s Science Central site.
