A review of Convocation Weekend 2010

Graduates and guests from around the world arrived back on campus on 18–19 June for our annual alumni reunion, Convocation Weekend.

The Union Society was the venue for a classic MedSoc knees-up on the Friday night, along with big-screen World Cup football in the Mens Bar, before Saturday set a more formal tone with the meeting of Convocation and annual lecture, which was delivered by our very own Professor Paul Younger (see below for slides and audio).

In the evening, retired staff took over King's Hall for drinks and dancing, before a climactic dinner at the Great North Museum for all graduates and guests, hosted by Dean of the Medical School, Professor Chris Day.

You can see photos from the weekend online in our Flickr gallery, or tag them at will on Facebook. Documents and multimedia from the weekend are available below.
