The 1834 Fund
To celebrate the 175th Anniversary of the Medical School, the 1834 Fund was set up to fund scholarships for intercalating medical students. Your donation to the 1834 Fund will have a major impact on the health of society thanks to the research carried out by scholars.
The 1834 Scholarships provides support for:
- undergraduate students seeking to take a year away from their medical studies to focus on a specific research area through intercalated study.
- talented early career scientists who are looking to progress to a prestigious four-year integrated MRes/PhD in one of our leading medical research teams.
Scholarships are awarded to the brightest individuals, regardless of background, and have helped 11 students with their studies to date.
