Undergraduate Bursaries

As we can all appreciate, sometimes it is very difficult to focus on your studies with the pressure of earning a wage too. With help from our alumni, the Annual Fund can ease the burden and provide bursaries of up to £1,500 to UK students, dependent on household income.

In the past, your donations have ensured that students can concentrate on their studies with fewer financial worries.

Matthew Wild, a third year BSc Geography student, describes how his bursary has helped him.

“Being a physical geographer, there are extra costs of fieldtrips that are essential for the success of my studies. I would like to thank the Annual Fund as without my undergraduate bursary, it would be difficult to afford these trips and focusing on my studies would be a lot tougher.”

An undergraduate bursary can also be used to cover the cost of living.

‘My undergraduate bursary helps me in affording living expenses when it is difficult to afford the cost of university,’ said Glen Darroch, another third year BSc Geography student. ‘I am grateful for this bursary to ease the need to work in term time.’

You can make a difference to students like Matthew and Glen by making a donation to the Annual Fund today.
