The Taiwanese Students Society at Newcastle University is thriving. Keep in touch with the Society's news and events and take advantage of their excellent links to Taiwanese websites.
Register and search our online alumni directory by country of residence to find and contact other Newcastle alumni living in Taiwan.
The British Council in Taiwan organises a wide variety of social, educational and professional networking events in Taiwan throughout the year, as well as providing invaluable information and support for Taiwanese citizens wishing to visit or study in the UK. Information for alumni on a range of events and activities that can be attended locally in Taiwan is available at the British Council's alumni homepage. Alumni can also register for the British Council’s BRAIN (The British Returned Alumni Interactive Network) network for alumni in Taiwan, which offers the opportunity to network with other graduates of UK universities.
UKEAS is the University’s partner organisation for student recruitment within Taiwan. Alumni may wish to encourage friends and relatives applying to Newcastle to make their application through UKEAS. There are also opportunities for alumni to meet with applicants to the University to talk about the experience of living and studying in Newcastle.
One NorthEast is the Regional Development Agency for the North East of England (a government agency) with the role of promoting business and investment in the region. The University works closely with One NorthEast and we would encourage alumni interested in developing business links with the North East to contact the One NorthEast Taipei Office.
