2015 has been another busy year for NU Advancement with events and reunions around the world, each one designed to give our graduates opportunities to network and rekindle old friendships.
NU Advancement is committed to making a significant contribution to the lives of our graduates. In fulfilment of this commitment, we have hosted a range of professional networking events around the world this year.
In spring, graduates attended Newcastle University Business School professional development events in Beijing and Shanghai.
In the summer, we hosted our first event at our Newcastle University London campus. 'Entrepreneur Nation' enabled graduates and students to forge links with each other. The event also provided opportunities to learn how to become a successful business leader.
More recently, NU Advancement organised events in Singapore and Malaysia for our graduates from the last decade giving graduates an opportunity to build their business contacts and networks.
In November, we welcomed Ann Cairns (MSc Medical Statistics 1979) back to campus. The President of International Markets at MasterCard Worldwide captivated our audience when she discussed her extraordinary career.
We are currently working on more professional networking and development events throughout 2016. Whether you want to develop your contacts or employability skills, or just meet up with old friends, we'd love to see you! To ensure you're first to hear about these events, please take a moment to update your details with us.
Throughout 2015, we also helped graduates keep in touch via their own class, sports club and society reunions.
The MB BS Class of 1945 marked the 70th anniversary of graduation with a special lunch. The MB BS Class of 1955 also celebrated their 60th anniversary of graduating with a weekend of events. The BDS Class of 1965 held a 50th anniversary reunion by recreating their graduation meal from five decades earlier.
Among other events, we also supported a Law Alumni Reception and the Athletics and Cross Club's 'Past v Present' race.
So if 2016 is the year of a special anniversary for your class, club or society, get in touch! Whether contacting lost friends or arranging accommodation and venues, we can help. Our team will ensure your occasion is unforgettable. Contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
