‘At the age of 33 signalman James still hasn't been on a train. It's one of his goals for this year however, as is winning the over-10s swimming gala at Allerton Baths, and finally defeating his nemesis: 11-year-old Veronica Barr. Encouraged by his pen-friendship with swimming legend and national treasure, Duncan Goodhew and by his partner, boxing expert Sue, James takes the plunge for the swim of his life.’
‘I Could've Been Better’ is a tender story of love, loneliness and verruca socks. Combining movement, film, story-telling and stand-up this one-man play explores the life of a lonely man in an engaging, hilarious and heart-wrenching hour.
