A new book on Newcastle in the 1980s is underway at Tyne Bridge Publishing – the company behind All Right Now: 1970s Newcastle and That'll be the Day!: 1950s Newcastle – for which its editor, Anna Flowers née Catto (BA English Language and Literature 1973), needs your photos and memories. Here's a message from Anna:

Following the massive success of our books on the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, Tyne Bridge Publishing is now tackling the 1980s! We hope that past students of Newcastle University will once more come to our aid and send us their memories of being at university 1980–1989, including Rag, student politics, going out on the town, the pubs, clubs, fashions (disasters and otherwise) and as much as they are able to remember. All contributors that we include will get a free copy of Sweet Dearms! 1980s Newcastle which will be published October 2013.
