What is Planning Today?

Workshop to discuss planning reform

Location: Claremont Tower, Newcastle University
Time/Date: 27th October 2011, 13:00 - 16:30

Planning has experienced 10 years of unprecedented change and reform. Such processes look set to continue or even increase as the Coalition Government pursues its political agenda for this parliament. GURU is hosting 3 workshops in 2011 to discuss and debate where planning is now. They look back over a century of activity when the planning system developed; and forward to the near future to see where planning might be going. In doing so, we look closely at the scope of planning in the UK and its implications for what being a planner means now and in the future, including the skills and knowledge involved.

The third of these workshops takes place on Thursday 27 October.  Please click here for the timetable.
