Professor Simin Davoudi has been invited to serve on the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Grant Assessment Panel C.
The ESRC, which is the UK’s leading agency for research and training in the social sciences has undergone a major restructuring to ensure delivery of its new Strategic Plan. The new structure will offer a more integrated approach to the ESRC’s research and training portfolios and embed impact and international activity in all areas of work. A Research Grants Delivery Group has been established to consider funding recommendations across all responsive mode schemes on behalf of the ESRC committees. The Group will be informed by assessments undertaken by three Standing Panels (a, b, and c) organised around clusters of disciplines. Panel C to which Prof Davoudi has been invited considers applications for all responsive mode schemes related to a cluster of disciplines including spatial planning. The Panel will deal with a range of ESRC’s activities including research, people & skills, knowledge transfer and research methods & infrastructure.
