Professor Mark Shucksmith and Dr Andrew Law, were speakers in a momentous conference held in the business School last week on "sustaining Creative Economies"; Professor Shucksmith talked about "Social Renewal in context" and focused specifically on themes of social justice and the rural creative economy.  Dr Law, talked about Urban Culture and heritage in the old Quarters of Shanghai.  All in all the conference which brought academics and practitioners from Beijing International Studies University, Groningen and the North East of England  was a success for the University and the School.
