Funding for PhD in Environmental Planning or planning related topic

The North East Doctoral Training Centre (NEDTC), a joint venture between Durham and Newcastle Universities, is currently looking to award a number of fully-funded ESRC studentships to high-calibre PhD students in the field of Environmental Planning.

Whilst the funding is labelled as “environmental planning”, it can cover any Planning, or Planning related topic.  The studentships requires students with a first-class/2.1 degree or equivalent and distinction or merit at postgraduate level.

If you feel that you may fall into these categories and that you have the energy to work up a high-level research proposal (we will help you with this) we would welcome your application.
The deadlines are very tight and we would need to pick up your interest straightaway.  We will then work with you to ensure that the application meets the high standards required of the studentship.
