Professor Tewdwr-Jones on Labour leadership contest

Professor of Town Planning, Mark Tewdwr-Jones, has written a blog for the  Newcastle Institute for Social Renewal (NISR) on the Labour leadership contest.

In it he argues that Jeremy Corbyn's popularity is down to a weariness and suspicion amongst voters of the political landscape, which has become bland, and the 'sameness' of the political language used from all sides.

Professor Tewdwr-Jones further asserts that the public respond positively to politics based on ideology, conviction and principle, and that the Labour leadership may be about more than just the Labour Party.
