Energy and Carbon in Cities

  1. Simulation ICTs for predicting/estimating the dynamic behaviour of a system as part of the design function
  2. Causal Modelling ICTs used to describe / predict relationships in physical systems
  3. Modelling and Simulations ICTs: What-if scenarios
  4. Modelling and Model development as to understand retrofit of infrastructure in cities

Smart Materials and Environments

  1. Design methods and techniques to enable the application of smart materials and environments in architectural and urban settings.
  2. Design conceptualisation ICTs for requirement engineering & ideation .
  3. Human factors Engineering ICTs to gather and model data describing the behaviour of end users/energy consumers

Intelligent systems and Digital Design

  1. Visual / spatial design ICTs
  2. Application of Artificial Intelligence techniques to the resolution of complex spatial problems
  3. Navigational methods in 3D synthetic spatial environment
