Background

Background

I am Greek by nationality and moved to the UK in 2001.
I have qualified as an architect in Greece from NTUA (National Technical University of Athens).
I am registered with the Technical Chamber of Greece, equivalent to RIBA in the UK.
I have proceeded in pursuing an MA in Urban Design in Newcastle University on a Greek scholarship which I obtained with Distinction.
I have been practising Urban Design in Architectural and Planning Practices in the UK since 2002.
Parallel to this I have been tutoring part time in Newcastle University.
I accepted a full time lecturer post in Newcastle University in September 2008.

Roles and Responsibilities

I run and teach in the main 3 design projects in the MA in Urban Design. I am also Degree Programme Director for the MA which means I have many administrative roles. I am in charge of admissions to the course and have the general overview under the guidance of Tim Townshend, now Director of Planning and Urban Design.
I also have a pastoral role with regards to the students in the MA in Urban Design.
