Research Interests

Privileged research domains: urban design and architectural education.

Urban design: study of new strategies for integrated processes for the design of public space to enhance the social and urban development, exploring interdisciplinary design approaches, public policies, co-production, and active citizenship as form of democracy.

Architectural education: practice of teaching architecture combined with research on architecture design teaching, studying both teaching methods and education issues.

Future Research

I am starting new study concerning the design and project process in social housing.
Principal issues: community engagement in renewal processes, social housing typology, the political approach and the establishment of social housing policies across Europe.
