 Research Interest

Zan has become very interested in the continuous reform of the planning system within the UK, and related to that planning professionalism, institutional and cultural change, conceptual changes (within policy making) and how messages do/do not travel.   

Current Work

"The changing nature of professionalism in spatial planning project", which considers the nature of on-going/continuous planning reform, and the implications this has on planning professionalism, planning culture, planning performance

Evaluating a Neighbourhood Planning Front runner in Northumberland with Geoff Vigar

Developing a framework for considering innovation, transformation in the context of planning projects, processes
