The University's award-winning Careers Service can offer help with planning for your future career from the day you arrive. They will also keep helping you after you graduate from Newcastle. We have one of the largest and best resourced career services in the UK and the School has its own dedicated careers adviser.
Adding to Your Degree
The ncl+ initiative ensure that every student has the opportunity to gain valuable and transferable skills in addition to their degree. ncl+ brings together groups across the University that offer opportunities and experiences that will make your time at university more valuable. ArchiGRAD
To assist young architecture graduates looking for employment and experience, Northern Architecture, the architecture centre for the North East, and Plus 3 Architecture, with the support of Newcastle and Northumbria Universities, launched the GRAD (Graduate Retention and Development Programme) scheme in January 2010.
The project enables the GRADs to continue to gain relevant experience, work with their peers and develop their management and other core skills. In addition, the project aims to retain creative, qualified graduates within the region and give them opportunities to engage with the development opportunities in the local area.
