Success at GSK!
A trip was organized for the new cohort of EngD students to the GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) manufacturing plant in Irvine, Scotland. This took place on the 30th November 2011.
Throughout the day, the students had the opportunity to take a tour of the facilities and learn about the different processes that take place within a manufacturing site. This provided the EngD students with important exposure to an industrial scale manufacturing plant.
This was the first visit to a large manufacturing site for some of our students, and it was extremely beneficial to their development on the EngD programme. Many thanks to all at GSK Irvine for making the day such a success.
