The Nikon wide field mocroscope is a fluorescence microscope based around an inverted Nikon TE2000U body with hardware-enabled focus. The system incorporates a Nikon DS-QiMc monochrome CCD camera.

The system is run through Nikon’s versatile Elements software package and is capable of collecting volume data for offline deconvolution (if required).
