Spinning disk microscopy is an established imaging technique of choice for imaging both dynamic and light-sensitive processes in living cells. The system utilises the Yokogawa CSUX1 spinning disk head and coupled with a QuantEM camera(Photometrics) is capable of capturing high speed (>30fps) confocal data sets.
The microscope employs software autofocus correction and is fully-enclosed in a heated environmental chamber with the ability to set, maintain and monitor temperature, humidity, O2 and CO2 levels as imaging conditions dictate.
The system is run through Zeiss’ AxioVision software package.
Objectives: 100x (oil, 1.4), 63 x (oil, 1.4), 40x (oil, 1.3), 40x (air, 0.75), 20x (air, 0.8), 10x (air, 0.3).
Imaging modes: Multipoint x,y with tiling (2D), volume x,y,z (3D), fluorescence, FRET, DIC, time-lapse x,y,z,t (4D).
Laser lines:405 nm, 476nm, 488nm, 514nm, 561nm, 639nm.
Filer sets: DAPI, FITC, TRITC
