The plant collections at Moorbank present a spectacular vehicle for informing and educating all age groups on a range of topical environmental issues that include: climate change, carbon trading, medicinal plants/drug discovery and biodiversity conservation.
Over the past 12 months, over 400 pupils from 20 local schools have participated in workshops that include:
• Plants and Biotechnology
• The Food we Eat
• Leaves as Markers for Air Pollution
