A new edition of 'Nerve Cells and Animal Behaviour' by Peter Simmons, co-authored by David Young, was published by Cambridge University Press. This is a book aimed at third year undergraduates, explaining how animal brains work and control their behaviour. It does so in a way that does not require students to understand the complexities of neurophysiology. Much of the third edition is completely new to include up-to-date research stories. Essential reading for students of the 'Mechanisms of Behaviour' module.
