Science Festival in Newcastle: are we still evolving?

The British Science Festival will take place in Newcastle from 7th to 12th September. The aim of the festival is to advance the public understanding and accessibility of the sciences and engineering in the UK. There will be over 250 events for you to take part in, from exhibitions, workshops, lectures to debates. Have a browse. It promisses to be a great event for Newcastle and the northeast.

The School of Biology is involved in several of these events.Science festival Newcastle One such event is a panel discussion and public Q&A that will address the question “Are We Still Evolving?” organised by Dr Kirsten Wolff (Newcastle University) and Dr Ian Rickard (Durham University). This event will take place on Sunday 8th September at 4pm in the Spence Watson Room in the Armstrong building at Newcastle University Campus. Tickets are free!
