Newcastle Excellence Scholarships

Who is the award for?

All new UK/EU undergraduates admitted by the School of Biology (C100, C1C7, C180, C300) who have:

  • Made Newcastle University their first choice (CF or UF) by 1st August
  • Exceeded the grades specified in their conditional offer.
Award Amount

£500 will be paid for each A grade achieved in BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY, MATHS or PHYSICS at A level (or equivalent qualifications) up to a maximum of £1,500. This sum is awarded one time only.

How to Apply

You do not need to apply for these awards as you will be considered automatically upon receiving your examination results. You will be contacted by the school if you have met all of the criteria.

Half the award will be paid early in year 1 and the second at the start of year 2 as long as a 70% average is achieved in year 1 assessments.
