Undergraduate Study
Biologists are involved with the examination of living organisims, their origin,
structure, development, function and distribution.
At Newcastle we offer a wide choice of undergraduate degrees that allow students to concentrate on particular specialisms or to expand the range of their knowledge of biology.

Single Honours Degrees
- Biology BSc Hons (C100)
- Biology (Cellular and Molecular Biology) BSc Hons (C1C7)
- Biology (Ecology and Environmental Biology) BSc Hons (C180)
- Zoology BSc Hons (C300)
All share a common first year to allow you to transfer between these programmes.
Joint Honours Degrees
You may also study biology as part of the Joint Honours in Science BSc:
Scholarships and bursaries
Talented, first year, UK undergraduate students commencing study in September 2012, may be eligible for a Newcastle Excellence Scholarship.
