Research background in virology and turnover of extracellular matrix. Expertise in molecular biology and recombinant protein expression.

Teaching

As Deputy Head of School of Biomedical sciences I have a major role in the management of the undergraduate degree programmes run in the school and I teach on a range of modules.  

Module leader for:  CMB1005 - Practical skills 1; BGM2012 - Clinical Immunology & Viral pathogens; CMB3001 - Experimental design. 

I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and participate regularly in conferences and workshops relating to higher education and pedagogy.
