Research background in virology and turnover of extracellular matrix. Expertise in molecular biology and recombinant protein expression.

As Head of School of Biomedical sciences I lead the management of the undergraduate degree programmes run in the school and teach on a range of modules.  

Module leader for BGM2012 - Clinical Immunology & Viral pathogens

I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and participate regularly in conferences and workshops relating to higher education and pedagogy.
