Biomedicine Plus is a series of optional lectures in which prominent researchers in the university present an overview of their cutting edge research as well as their career path. The lectures, specifically aimed at Stage 1 students, are a fantastic opportunity for undergraduates to find out how the material covered in lectures fits into the 'bigger picture' and to get a flavour of the world of biomedical research.

So, although the lectures are not compulsory they will help to reinforce understanding of core lectures and are particularly useful for those students thinking about a career in research or medicine.
